About WSU Faculty and Research
Washington State University is a top-tier research university, classified among the 95 public and private institutions with very high research activity by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Faculty led more than $243 million in research and public service projects in 2005. The excellence of the WSU faculty is reflected in the national and international honors accorded them and in the influence of their research and scholarship.
Faculty in the National Academies: Seven WSU professors are members of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering or both. An eighth professor, veterinary pathologist Guy Palmer, was just named to the National Academy's Institute of Medicine.

> Don A. Dillman was chosen to
serve on Federal Economic Statistics Advisory
Committee.
